Brian Citro has been an active member of the Chicago music scene since the early 2000s. After studying with renowned guitarist and educator Fareed Haque at Northern Illinois University, he led several creative music projects with multi-instrumentalist Charles Gorczynski. In Video Gum Culture, Salamander, and other groups, Brian performed alongside a host of Chicago musicians, including Nate Lepine, Ernie Adams, Harrison Bankhead, Quin Kirchner, Nick Mazzarella, Mark Van Ziegler, Gerald Bailey, and Matthew Davis. Rereleased on Gorczynski’s Caverns Records, these three early recordings showcase Brian’s development as an improviser, composer, and band leader.
